Flying into London
If you are planning to fly into London, you will want to know that the city is served by 5 main airports.
You are mostly likely to arrive at one of the three largest international ones: Heathrow (in west London), Gatwick (south of London) or Stansted (northeast of London).

London Heathrow Airport is our tenants’ favourite, as it offers a good Underground connection to Nansen Village. You can take the Piccadilly Line at the airport and change northbound to the Northern Line at either Leicester Square or Kings Cross/St Pancras station to Woodside Park Station.

Currently the single ticket costs about £5.50 at any time. For more information and updated prices, visit the Transport For London Website.

If you have a lot of luggage, however, you may want to consider that there will be steps on your train change. If you book a minicab in advance, you can expect to pay from £32 plus car park charges provided the luggage fits in a salon car to £37 plus car park charges if there are too many suitcases.

You may want to consult the Transport for London website for a list of licensed minicab operators. Taxis operated from the airport (not previously booked) may charge you from £60 to £95 on average. Nansen Village is located 24.8 miles from Heathrow Airport, 61.6 miles from Gatwick Airport and 40.4 miles from Stansted Airport.
